"My job is I have to design the environment that is gonna allow those deception skills to just emerge," says Darryl Sutter. "I can't just tell these guys like, hey, you need to shoot harder, or you need to, this is how you should take a one-timer." The coach uses success rate as a measurement of his players' performance. It's more than their frequency plus their success with the puck in certain situations.
