There were many alternative traditions, an te which see life as meaningless suffering. A burtand russell's remark about the firm foundation of unyielding despair as as a basis lives. Is that any sort of attempt to regard, to reach what you would regard as happiness? Or the two things just exist in totally different spaces? I think, tha, these attitudes are am the result of am materialistic, dualistic thinking.
