Most of us are able to self-differentiate only about a third of the time. If we can figure out how to express that in a healthy way without creating a conflict of wills, we will be less likely to fall victim to immoral behavior. From my viewpoint, the church isn't any less likely to see pastors or leaders break trust or do immoral things. What I do believe is if you are more in tune with how inauthenticity works and what damage it can do, you will be better able to manage it for your own good.
