Russians Are Very Optimistic About the Future
Putin himself tried by the way he understood that mobilization may be problematic, right? We saw that was highly unpopular among Russians even before it was announced. Russia is facing a very much a repetition of its own history late Soviet Union and Afghanistan situation where again this consistent drain of the society imposed by the war will probably continue for a while. Our analysis based on comparative experiences of Iran and South Africa suggest that eventually this is bound to lead to some sort of social protests.
