It's easier to get a new person to serve than it is to engage people who have been around the church for years. Most new people want to join a team because they're looking to make some new friends. Don't let ministry leaders start to compete with each other for engaging new volun tears. Create one obvious place for people to connect to serving, and then another clear next step on your web site.

We hear it from just about every pastor we’re talking to: people are coming back to church! However, while there is no shortage of new people attending services, churches are still struggling with engaging people in serving opportunities.
