The Bronze Age Iron Age transition in Greece is often referred to as a dark age. The landscape has changed since this work was done 50 years ago, 70 years ago. I had never occurred to me that you might not be able to find a site that's recorded in an old report again. That's something I absolutely had not considered when it comes to the archaeology of Greece. But before we get to that, let's come back to the period itself.
