Do You Really Need to Fake Custom Hardware?
The key advantage of efuges is that they are reconfigurable. The first time you run your design at a higher frequency, you can really do good things with it. Asics will be ten times less expensive to make than the same design on an imbedded sil bed. Late asixs could be three to four times more powerful in some cases.
