The Problem With Metaphysical Reduction
Carnab: A lot of the things that philosophy says really shouldn't be said. They're not sayable in our language, they're only result of confusion on our part. If you're going to start a system off from simple, you have to have an idea of how those symbols connect with each other. It's my contention that that kind of project doesn't work for a reason very similar to what was coming up with the idea of bare particulars.
