The Importance of Learning Mandarin

Emma went to China for a gap year and decided she didn't want to be a psychologist. She enrolled on an Abinicio degree course in Mandarin at the University of Leeds. Emma says her friends, family and colleagues were surprised that she was learning such a difficult language. "I started to feel like that was becoming a part of my identity," she said.
