Eclipse Thea and VS Code in the Browser
In the early days we founded and developed Eclipse Thea. It's essentially an IDE framework if you like for buildingIDE's, not just in the browser but also in the desktop so it runs in the browser and as an electron app. Then discovered that VS Code had caught up and was now capable of running purely in the browser. Once that became possible, we made the switch to VS Code in the browser and that shifted the set of problems that we had to solve.
