Rust is safe but it's also unsafe what does that mean well yes so rust allows for unsafe operation and it actually does it very explicitly there's an unsafe keyword. This is generally used or should be generally used by those who are developing the abstractions that can be more broadly used because to make those efficient you often do want them to do effectively direct point or manipulation which must be scoped in an unsafe block. The fact that you can very selectively turn off rusts a bar checker and an ownership checking allows for you to actually do some things that you wouldn’t be able to do otherwisebut you do them in a very limited scope.
