So Glow is not a metal band by the truest sense of the phrase, but they do have that sort of aggression and intensity of metal. A lot of it addresses the idea of just being a bunch of Black Americans growing up in Philly. There's anxiety throughout the whole album that I think that probably both So Glow and Death Grips share. And it's totally compelling. It's a very hard record to stop.
