Liz chaney is the daughter of dick chaney, who was also wyoming's only congressman for about ten years. She has a famous last name and her name is very well known in the state. When she was elected only about six years ago, she very rapidly became someone who a republican thought of as the future of the party. But all of that changed when january sixth happened. It would have been even worse had she not embarked on this campaign to try to convince democrats to change their party registration to vote as republicans.
