The Importance of Taking Music Seriously
When I first started producing records was a really unfortunate time in music around 1999. You had to do everything in an assembly line fashion. It's not like I was defiant or playing a renegade. I just didn't know how to do it and I don't understand technology. The length of a solo would go however long the solo felt good. If you hear the live versions of the songs, they're often very different from the record versions. That's a thrilling feeling.
