Social Resources Are Limited in That We Can Only Be in So Many
There's only so many people that any one person can support and care for. The upper limit of the number of names we can actually hang on to in our minds is about 150, which is the rough and ready number of people who would be in a tribe. So we're limited in the resources available to support each other. But we're not limited in the attitudes we can take. We can cultivate an attitude of open hearted well wishing toward everyone. That's sort of mind and heart that it doesn't have to be limited.
