A Novel About Ned and the Fbi

In the novel, ned doesn't resign from the fbi. He just goes right back to work chasing bad guys. In the very last scene of the book, ned is down in louisiana and he meets this woman who is clearly simon. Ned took her by the elbow and guided her to a seat next him. She looked back at him with tears glossing the surface of her eyes. We need your help. And that's how it ends, kind of suddenly. I guess you could call it a cliff hanger or a teaser for a sequel,. You get the basic idea, ned was about to go off on another adventure to help this damsel in distress
