Fast fashion is cheap, plentiful and more prevalent than people might realize. The industry produces 14 times as many clothes each year as there are human on the planet. There are workers that are being underpaid or not being paid what we consider to be a living wage in the west. Some might operate under poor working conditionsand workers might develop long term health conditions due to exposure with chemicals and dyes.
Fast fashion took over the apparel industry, but consumers are tiring of its poor labor and environmental standards. Vox’s Terry Nguyen explains.
