Is the History of Spain in the Museum?
Gurnica is located in Madrid because Picasso was the curator of the Prado museum during the Spanish Civil War. For many years, that painting was actually in exile. It wasn't until Franco finally died and the new democratic regime came in that that painting could be brought back to its homeland.
