I think for me it's the constant reminder that no one was demanding this. The kind of bubble of interest we see emerge in the late 70s early 80s is really about a set of elite investor interest trying to brute force market potential. We have to stop saying that things are inevitable because they're not yeah so not and like I've got all the receipts to prove that they're not well.

It's hard to imagine life without smartphones, but it wasn't so long ago that the idea of a home computer was a novelty.
