I Don't Like the Tarp
When he was ten I woke up one morning to see that the tarp had been moved in the middle of the night. The word was that Doren Rinko, a man in his 80s who had been living there for a few years, had fallen down the well. In August of 1937 the police came out to the raincoals house. People gathered around that well and remained there most of the day.
