The Arms Race Dynamic in AI?
I am concerned about the risk that these competitive dynamics between the US and China lead to race dynamics where countries are racing forward. My concern is about a race to the bottom on AI safety. That is a race to fielding AI systems before they're adequately tested, and they're safe. I think it's very that has been willing to accept more risk to push these AI products out sooner to stay up having competitors.
