Are We Saying We Need Less Hierarchical Complexity to Hold the Society Together?

The more complex the principles that organize and allow the organization and coordination of the society, the more hierarchical complexity is requisite. And you could argue that because our societies become so complex, we've created individuals who have had to become a warp into highly complex specialists in order to keep this thing going. But i think very difficult to know what a in terms of like, cognitive development specifically. In my model, especially in solvent and transcendent dimensions of the human psyche, what those were like in cultures so old that they're intrinsically, almost foreign to us and incomprehensible.
