The Importance of Brexit's Relationship With Europe
The British speech now is looked back upon as this defining moment in Britain's relationship with Europe. It was a, in some ways, a pro-European speech and certainly not seen as a Eurosceptic as we came to know it. But she really did lose that fight. The Europe that she wanted didn't emerge. And so I guess it's reasonable for people to draw the conclusion that if that Europe has not come about, then I don't want to belong to the Europe that exists.
