We tend to burn about y % more fat when we're fasted, compared to an oatmeal base breakfast. Our work tried to understand then if that continues over a full training programme. What we were to see in a 24 hour period might be very different over a six or 12 week time frame. The people who were burning more fat actually improved things like glucose control and their insolent sensitivity to a greater extent than the group who didn't have breakfast before exercise.
