The Importance of Special Exercises for Movement

In Verkoshansky's terminology, special exercises are based on a weak link of where your lifts are failing. The big thing is that you have to change positions, eliminate joints, change the stabilization demands and active versus passive movements. And I think a lot of the criticisms for looking at things in movement are twofold: Number one, you only look at one position, and number two, just because you fail with weight on the bar, does it?
