i think the ego is a very useful and necessary thing. It's kind of like the in individua itself, and it helps you manoeuvre through the world. But obviously it runs a muck and i thinkit can lead many of us astray. I know i've spent a lot of time in my life fighting to make other people see me as who i wanted to be, not who i was.
