I Am the Bread of Life

In verse 35, he says, I am the bread that gives life to the world. He's picking up on the manna dialogue that he's had with the crowd. Though we tend to think today of bread as either the topping of a sandwich as a side or an appetizer, for most of human history, bread is the staple of life for all people.
