The Importance of Gender Bias in Academic Research
There is ample evidence that women are disadvantaged, not just in terms of representation, but throughout the entire production. We do find that some of the sociable biases are reflected and occasionally they are even worse in these spaces. I think one of the key opportunities for us coming from the computational social science side is to try to connect some of these phenomena with how processes unfold in digital spaces.
