Liberalism is not just about using words in different ways, though. They have the feelings but they can't couch their arguments in those terms. If you grow up in india or in an orthodox jewish community, treating objects as having these properties that are kind of magical. Whereas if you're you've gron up in a scientific rationalist community, you might still have the foundations, but your morality is not going to be built on that. And so what happens is, when you hear about a case like mews and brant, you have, you are horrified. But you don't have a language to convey that disgust, so you fall back on harm or fairness or rights
