The Dangers of a Military Coup in Latin America
There is a historical precedent on the African continent of leftist leaders coming to power through military coups. In Peru, there was a coup led by a revolutionary military leader Juan Velasco Arvarado in 1968. And still today, there is no central government in Libya. There has been a civil war going on and there are open air slave markets thanks to NATO destroying the Libyan state. If you don't have a popular revolution like happened in China in 1949 or Cuba in 1959 or in Nicaragua in 1979, then they can be overthrown. So once again, there is a danger.
