How to Treat a Toxic Alcohol Patient
If I was managing this guy remotely, like I'm going to accept him and transfer. He's coming to me. I would absolutely give this guy a dose of from that was all prior to him being transferred. Sometimes people will use a specific level of a toxic alcohol to maybe indicate whether a patient needs hemodialysis or not. This guy's pretty acidotic. If he got some bicarbonate and wasn't responding to that, I think it'd be very reasonable to hemodialize this guy if we do identify he is indeed a toxic alcohol.
