The Generational Battles of Social Media
A lot of this conversation is often framed as generational battles. 2012 was exactly the year that my then preteen daughter got a cell phone and that everybody suddenly had one in middle school. The next significant turning points in 2017 where there is a bit of a backlash, I think partly driven by some tech personalities talking about how they don't let their kids use screens.
