Many people in the book know many people that are in the book. So it does become a kind of a diorama, you know, right of everyone's life. It took years for me to get good friends with Sam Lipsite. Every single person is me. I know the most monstrous to the most innocent. In writing any of my books, all the skulls are mine. You nested dreams, desires, delusions in every one of those in all of your past lives. None of these skulls belong to others. They are all yours.
