Chat GPT is a computer program that trains on 1.5 million books worth of rules trained on 350 years' worth of compute time. The training process uses passages drawn from enough source texts to cover everything from VCR instructions to Seinfeld scripts. It's not, it doesn't search for every word from the source text but instead in a much more complicated architecture called a transformer.
