How to Find a Writer for Your Next Book
It's usually 12 to 18 months before the book is out oftentimes we are bidding on a partial the first hundred pages of the book. We really do try to match it as much as possible so that the adaptation still feels authentic. Once we get the writer in place and we do the deal, I'll do two or three drafts of it before the studio or network even decide if they're going to actually make it.
