The Mystery of Unforgiveness
In the 21st century we live in a culture that places great emphasis on victims, victim status and victimization. Some of that is to the good, but some of that I think actually makes us seek opportunities to claim our victim status. So often people will experience it as a loss of control and being hurt and then unforgiveness is a way by which to control the situation. We hold on to the fact of our having been done an injustice so that we can wield it as what? As a kind of control or at the very least as just like a manipulative high ground.
