Channel for i is in good financial health, but needs the government to give it more money. Channel four receives license fee money which goes straight to the b b c and that's what pays the programs. Chevan says privatisation has a different obligation from publicly owned channels like chanelfor who have an obligation to their audience. There are some advantages to going private as business aims to generate more money.
