The Importance of Participation in Christianity

Christianity is kin for human practices that are predated all the way from the bottom to the top because it never says oh once you are 18 then you will be able to be a Christian. It's what we baptize infants. We born three months early and we'll still get the holy water. Why? Because at no moment in human life is the operation of grace not already pulling you up to heaven. And so the kinds of practices that Christendom Christianity have historically valued have been things that are always participatable differently.
