Do We Continue to Keep Smallpox in the World?

Since 9-11, smallpox has been considered to be one of the more viable threats for in terms of bioterrorism. People maybe are still doing research. It's really hard to find any information about what type of research might be happening. And so it's a really interesting ethical issue because there's no more smallpox in the world. Do we continue? How do we justify the continued research funds, research animals?
