Is This Really a Worst Case Scenario Warning?
The French government has been issuing stern warnings to its situation, telling people they need to cut electricity usage or else rolling blackouts are happening. Over half of France's nuclear power plants have until very recently been offline for maintenance and the kinds of things that we really want people to do so that we don't burn the entire country to a crisp. But it makes for a problem when we also now have a gas crisis, so we can't pick up the slack by burning fossil fuels to create more electricity.
