The Law and the Future

The law either teaches people to build for the future and to invest long term, or it can teach its citizens to all be about immediate gratification. I always think about this, like this, this has taught a generation of young people that no one should expect anything of them. And if I fail to meet someone's expectations in terms of getting a job or, you know, moving up or taking better care of my family or whatever, then it's society's fault, not mine.
