The point of US support for Taiwan is to prevent a war from happening. Some people think, you know, a war could be a good way to get Xi Jinping ousted. It's not necessarily that getting into a war that doesn't go well means that you're going to get ousted. But I mean, the Taiwan issue will come to a head at some point in the CCP asset they will use force.
