The Legal Regime of CITES
The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora was propounded in 1973. This convention has been established to regulate the trade of any product from nature, basically. The only tool that CITES has is a ban. And so it's a significant commercial loss for the state. But we started five, six years ago and only this year they are finally discussing a ban on Mexico.
