How to Manage Nipple Discharge
Nipple discharge is very common, but cancer is rarely associated with it. About three percent of patients with nipple discharge will later be diagnosed with cancer. If a patient presents in the sixth decade of life or older and they have nipple discharge, you need to have a much higher suspicion. They have up to a third, 33 percent chance of having cancer associated with their nipple discharge.
