The Importance of Showing Up and Being There

As a senior in high school I was actually making about a thousand dollars a month which was in 1976 dollars and for perspective when I got out of Stanford my first job with my degree I was paid a thousand years a month. So luckily I don't value my Stanford education by the delta between my income before coming to Stanford and my income upon leaving Stanford or it wouldn't have been a very good investment. But point being this really taught me a lot it taught me a much about time management  and so I ended up back here at Stanford as an undergrad.
