There's two approaches to habits and behavior change. There's outcome-based habits and then there's identity-based habits. So for example, you might say, all right, I want to lose 40 pounds in six months. Then the question would be, well, who is the kind of person that could lose weight? And then you realize, well, maybe it's the identity of you know, I don't miss workouts. You just focus on building habits that reinforce that identity.
