The war in ukraine is wreaking havoc on commodities. Crude oil burst above a hundred five dollars a barrel for the first time since 20 14. After russia invaded ukraine, russian and european equities had a horrible day. To digest this and market movements, i'm joined by kitty martin, or markets editor. He says everyone that i've spoken to day is completely blind sigded and depressed.

Western countries are punishing Russia after Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion from Ukraine, and UK prime minister Boris Johnson wants to punish Russia by removing it from the Swift international payments system. Plus, the FT’s Katie Martin explains how markets reacted on the first day of the war in Ukraine.
