The number of kids in organized competitive sport has dropped markedly and it was happening way before COVID. The biggest issue that this industry faces around the world is a massive decrease in participation, particularly in traditional forms of competitive sport. It's not about creating linear, breakable pathways from three to the Olympic Games. We're seeing all these things largely due to the fact that we got it wrong for a block of time where we invested all our resources into unproductive work.
