Socrates's Resilience and Poverty

Socrates is a very distinctive guy, both in aristophanes and xenophon. He's portrayed as being able to withstand extremes of heat and cold. But unlike plato, he couldn't care less about it one way or the other. The crucial thing about socrates is that he didn't place any particular value on these activities.
