Marius, Sulla, and the Roman Empire

As a teenager, Caesar was politically active and opposing Lucius Cornelius Sulla. Marius organized to force a glad ears to defend Rome, but there were not enough of them. So Marius now flees all the way to Africa to avoid execution while Sulla takes over Rome. Events drag on for years before Marius dies in 86 BC after sneaking back into Rome when Sulla has to go fight some Greeks again.
